FCT Political Earth Tremor: Aduda and Wike Launch Rainbow Coalition to Propel Tinubu's 2027 Victory

ABUJA – In a groundbreaking realignment of the Federal Capital Territory’s political landscape, Senator Philip Tanimu Aduda has officially unveiled the "Rainbow Coalition." Headed by FCT Minister Nyesom Wike, this powerful political initiative aims to consolidate grassroots support and secure a decisive victory for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the 2027 elections.

The announcement was made on Tuesday 24 March 2026 in Abuja during a prominent reception for the "Renewed Hope Ambassadors"—a dynamic delegation of FCT stakeholders who have officially defected to the All Progressives Congress (APC).

The magnitude of this defection marks a significant transformation in local governance. The delegation, led by FCT ALGON Chairman Hon. Danladi Chiya (Kwali), included Executive Chairmen from Kuje and Bwari Area Councils, FCT Public Complaints Commissioner Isyaku YamawóA, and a diverse assembly of current and former vice-chairmen, speakers, and party officials.

Senator Aduda emphasized that this movement was driven by the tangible effects of the Renewed Hope Agenda. He pointed out that for years, the FCT grappled with stagnant civil service promotions and neglected rural infrastructure. However, under the current administration—and particularly due to Minister Wike’s initiatives—these issues are being addressed through aggressive infrastructure development and a renewed commitment to transparency.

Aduda also commended President Tinubu’s landmark decision to appoint an FCT indigene to the Federal Executive Council, terming it a long-awaited victory for inclusivity and local representation.

When asked about a possible return to the Senate, Aduda maintained his dedication to the collective mission but left the possibility open, stating: “I will listen to the voice of the people, and if that is their wish, so be it.” With the APC now strengthening its influence across all six Area Councils, the Wike-Aduda alliance has emerged as the most formidable political force in the nation’s capital as the next general election approaches.
